The Byzantine weave is a timeless design that was originally used in chainmaille and has been around for a thousand years. Wearing this beautiful bracelet is like wearing a piece of history and the intricate design is guaranteed to get comments. It’s length is sized to hang low on the wrist, so as to catch the light as you move.
This bracelet started out as a simple spool of solid silver wire. I made these (there a 3 different sizes) entirely by hand.
Each handmade 5.5mm diameter ring is individually cut from the 1mm sterling silver wire and is then painstakingly formed together into this tightly woven chain.
